Scrapwest Challenge - Friends
Hi girls - I'm hoping this works as I have it timed to load. The background to this is the lovely Old World Stack from DCWV. It is sprayed with H2Os Shimmering Mist in gold and stamped with a script stamp and Tim Holtz swirl. The main image in cream is metal foil, embossed, painted, and distressed. I love how it turned out. I have my usual image transfer on cream linen and a lovely poem which I found in the old book Sabrina gave me - 'Little Folk, A Magazine for the Young' dating back to 1892. The poem reads as follows:
Stand Together
Fierce and strong the wind was raving -
I seem fighting with it yet-
When, the hillside steepness braving,
Two wee lassies there I met.
How could children face such weather,
With whole trees uptorn around?
Why, they firmly clung together,
And contrived to keep their ground.
And I thought life would be smoother,
And its hours not spent in vain,
If folk stood by one another,
Sharing nobly toil and pain.
Little People, stand together,
Kindly, bravely - that's the way;-
Not alone in bleak March weather,
But through life, dears - come what may!
Isn't that lovely!
