Scrapwest Challenge - Birds of a Feather
Another week another challenge - I will have to start paying somebody to feed me at this rate :0) This was a nice challenge and I could have done lots of different things for it but I love the Robin, the morning of my wedding I woke up to find one at the end of the bed, the little thing stayed in the lodge with us for 3 full days and only flew away when we left so I had to use a robin somewhere. This is a circle folded in half and then quartered. The bottom half has 2 extra folds in it. I have used BG papers, Sabrina's now famous vintage book with a little bird poem, some distress inks, fibres and feathers and a decoupaged robin.

Love this shape and all the collaging you did on it. Thanks for sharing your wonderful story :-)
This is gorgeous, Carrie ! - I love the shape & the papers you've used ... and what a nice story too. :D
This is so clever and such a sweet story. Something magical about the bird sharing your special time.
Thought this was fanatstic, love the robin too. Love reading about the techniques you use to make your cards and artwork, they're brill!
I have just discovered your blog via UKStampers
This, along with absolutely everything else, is quite stunning
Beautiful work - I will be visiting here often for inspiration
Oh Carrie I'm only seeing this now. I love the story about the robin. I love robins and when I was small my Mum used to tell me that they worked for Santa and would report back if I did anything bold, I believed every work of it LOL
Seriously though my friend Kitty has a strong belief everytime she sees a robin that it's her Mum (RIP) sending her a sign that she's watching over her, her Mum loved robins too and it's very comforting for her. She has a few strange stories of things that happened.
I love them because they're so tame.
I love what you've done on your SW entry. It' gorgeous as always :-)
